Love this, can’t agree more, which is why I don’t waste my time/money at Design Conferences or conferences in general, these days. Most conferences are simply an ego-boosting event for the speakers/presenters and a facade for folks to feel as though they’re making a difference when all they’re really doing is patting themselves on the back.

The amount of times I’ve heard the leaders of these conferences say “simply by showing up, you win.” They love quoting that Woody Allen line — “80% of success is showing up”

Man, love how you’re one of the few leaders out there calling out on all the bullshit in the professional world.
