There has been a lot of talk about the “future of work” by a lot of various publications out there. As one of the individuals who the media loves to a “Millennial”, who are taking over the workforce what are my thoughts on the matter? Well, given how massive such a topic is, the only way to begin talking about it establishing the setting. Otherwise, we could be here all day asking if we are talking about the “future of work” in which geography, for which age-group, race(s), gender(s), industry(ies), sector(s), and timeline? So many questions, so little time. This question however can easily be answered by the following:

Why so? Because, there really is only one question that should matter the most out of all the auxiliary questions — “what does success look like in the future of work?” It’s in my strongest conviction that the above graphic summarizes that beautifully — that the successful organizations of the future will be purpose/mission-driven. Instead of top-down hierarchies they’ll operate in distributed teams; they’ll be full of empowered employees, pro-R&D and intrapreneurship, and finally: be more transparent in terms of systems and processes both internally and externally without sacrificing…
